The LaboratoryRead about PI

Our research is focused on understanding the regulatory networks that govern pancreas cell identity and function in the context of diabetes and cancer. The lab is highly interdisciplinary and uses state-of-the-art omics technologies to address outstanding questions in human pancreas biology. Additional information can be found on the LRBGE website: https://ccr.cancer.gov/Laboratory-of-Receptor-Biology-and-Gene-Expression and on Dr. Arda’s profile page: https://ccr.cancer.gov/Laboratory-of-Receptor-Biology-and-Gene-Expression/h-efsun-arda.

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to develop methods to do genetic, and epigenetic analysis of human pancreas cells. The scope of work includes performing tissue culture, standard molecular biology techniques, high throughput sequencing assays and analysis. Documenting experimental processes, generating reports and presenting ongoing work will also be essential duties.

About You

We are seeking to recruit both basic and translational research-oriented candidates with strong background in one or more of the following fields: Genomics, Chromatin, Developmental and Cell Biology, Biostatistics, Systems and Computational Biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. degree, and at least one first author peer-reviewed publication, and less than 3 years of prior postdoctoral experience.

Application

Applicants should send a detailed CV, a statement describing research interests and career goals, and three letters of reference to Dr. Efsun Arda (ardahe@nih.gov)
